Il Rigo is an excellent centre from a food and wine point of view.
Some of the most famous Tuscan red wines are produced in this area, including the Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino, the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Chianti "Colli senesi" and Orcia Rosso.
All these
wines are included on our comprehensive wine listoffered at “Il Rigo”
and we also organize special tasting sessions.
From "Il Rigo" you can easily reach many famous wineries, such as Banfi in Montalcino or the old cellars below the ancient buildings in Montepulciano.
All these wines are an excellent accompaniment to the typical produce of the Valdorcia, such as sheep’s cheese, wild boar salami , traditional soups and the “pici” large eggless hand made spaghetti.
